Well the rain has arrived and the rivers are up, down south at least, but I'm sure most have had a rise of some sort. Hopefully fish will now be running up from the estuaries and bays and when you think about it the autumn run will be upon us soon! Anybody have any luck lately??

Just back from the lee and I only fish for 90 mins and landed 4 salmon and lost another 2 aswell
There were 6 other anglers and all had 1 or 2 each another fella had 4 too
Some amount of salmon running at the moment I say

All small Kev between 3 to 4lbs but all really fresh, went out today same place and nothing haha that's fishing for ya

Fast and furious sport there Ger, thats unreal! Bound to have been huge runs with the water alright, but thats some catching between the few of ye that was there, you have to wonder how many were passing ye by?? I was only out an hour on Friday as in Limerick now but the uncle managed a 16 pounder. Got drenched following it down river hence only out for an hour. Father lost one also that evening, possibly bigger fish. Hit a couple of sea trout to, water may have dragged them up from the sea at last! Out again tomorrow.

I was up at the dam yesterday for a few hours , water was very high. Plenty of salmon around but I didn't get a sniff - ill probably head up for another go this evening

the water is low at the moment steve they usually keep it closed on sundays for some reason
the buddy had 1 yesterday about 3lbs I didn't get a sniff lol

Good stuff a little bit bigger than what I've been catching all along the grilse are very small on the lee so that's a nicer one
