Plenty of white trout around in the lower ends of rivers now but they're just not taking freely. Plenty of pulls and tweaks but freshwater badly needed to get them to run and take more vigorously. East Coast rivers seriously low with rocks, stones and shingle never seen before and islands where never before. Supposed to rain over the weekend, need massive showers though to raise levels to get fish to run.

Just off the ferry from Wales after 5 days fishing, I must say I've never seen a river so low in my life pools were gone down to a few inches deep Over the nights we must have seen about 100 big seatrout over 6lbs jump some were in the 15lbs bracket We did up with about 12 seatrout to 6lbs and the buddy had one on the bank nearly weighing about 9lbs but made a final dash for freedom and got off They are due a flood soon I think and the fishing will be awesome I say as there are shoals of trout waiting in some pools to get up river They weren't in the taking mood but we did manage fish every night I will put up some photos of the fish we managed to capture on camera later
