Now that the season is open it's time to hit the seatrout in the salt, had a great season last year spinning for them Do anyone target them at this time of year?

Tried once this year out in Waterford and a lad I was with had one spinning around the 2lb mark. Defiantely going to give it a bash soon.

I will tell ya now reddie it's great fun but can really drive ya mad lol I have a lure that is unreal for them and u can't buy it here but it always catches me fish I got bass on it too

Nice one! Ah sure there mouths are soft enough when they come into the river fresh from the sea, never mind to say when still in salt! Do you ever use an assist hook?

Had a quick trip out tonight spinning and landed 1 trout and lost 4 more on spinner Can't wait for the weather to get milder should have fun then

There was a 3lb trout caught during last week there and a few to 1.5lbs too I will post pictures up tomorrow

A fella I know in Dublin emailed me a photo of a trout he caught yesterday in the sea weighing 8lbs I think I will try and upload photo this evening when I get a chance Some fish
