mepps is hard to beat in the rivers for the seatrout i do get the bigger trout on the flying cs when im in wales but last year i found a size 4 mepps agilia deadly for them i started fishing the sea for them last year and found a lure that is brillant its called deadly dick ;D i kid you not i must have landed over 100 seatrout in the salt with it since last feb

Haha, I never got much seat trout on spinners as I usually fish worm in a flood or fly in low water. Fly in a dropping flood during the day works great too on some of the rivers I fish, especially the allaghaun

slightly off topic but I'm going to pick up a few flying C's for salmon - what colours do ye reckon are best? Last year was my first time fishing and I had a couple of salmon on flying c's (most of them got off though!) but I can't remember what colours they were.

I find black the best myself, a lot of people say to not use black in coloured water, but that's when it has been most deadly for me

I like black and silver, black and copper but I got fish on all of them just have faith and give them time and u will catch

Try dan lynch Steve if u but a certain amount he will give u free ones too I use his ones most of the time I think they are 2.50

Half inch brown ans gold devons on a dropping flood used to be the job before also. I know rapalas are great for salmon, have ya targeted aea trout much with them?

When we were on the towy last year there was a guy fishing with us had 5 salmon and 3 seatrout to 14lbs all on the brown trout rapala He was a local so knew the spots etc but all his trout and salmon fall to this rapala in cd9 size I got salmon here on rapalas but not too many trout
